“And among His signs is that He created spouses from among yourselves for you to live with in tranquillity: He ordained love and mercy between you. There truly are signs in this for those who reflect.” (Quran 30:21)
In a Prophetic tradition Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned that, "men and women are twin halves of each other". This also highlights the fact that men and women are created from a single source (Qur’an 4:1).
