What are Sunnah foods?

Sunnah foods are foods that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) consumed or recommended, as recorded in authentic Hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet).
These foods are valued not only for their nutritional benefits but also for their connection to the Sunnah, making them spiritually significant for Muslims.
Some of the Sunnah foods covered in the Qur’an and Hadith include: dates, honey, olives, figs, black seeds (habbatus-sauda), milk, watermelon, meats and more.

Myths About Sunnah Foods

Did you know that Habbatus-Sauda (black seed) isn’t always recommended for daily consumption without proper consideration? In this course, we debunk myths and provide factual insights about its correct usage, emphasizing appropriate doses and circumstances.
Did you also know that identifying real honey from fake can be crucial? While the Qur’an and Hadith highlight honey's benefits, understanding its quality is essential, especially with the rise of commercialized honey in today’s market.
Our Islamic Medicine Course introduces you to the profound and holistic health practices of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, offering guidance on remedies rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
