About This Course

Islam has given great emphasis to the process of seeking knowledge. If we observe the five verses revealed to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, we can see that the word “read” is repeated two times, the word “pen” is mentioned once and the word “teach” is repeated twice.

Islam makes it an obligation upon Muslims to seek knowledge. Seeking knowledge with the intention of benefiting oneself and the people is rewarded like performing additional prayers or fasting. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Seeking Knowledge is an obligation on every Muslim,” in another hadith “Seek Knowledge from Cradle to the Grave.”

This course will introduce the student of sacred knowledge to core principles and etiquettes of seeking knowledge for the sake of Allah the Almighty.
