This Surah is both a prayer and an introduction of the Quran. A prayer that Allah has taught to all those who want to spend their lives according to God’s Will. It was also said that the Surah is called Umm Al-Kitab (The Mother of The Book), because it contains the meanings of the entire Qur’an.“The Arabs call every comprehensive matter that contains several specific areas an Umm (Mother).
In this course, the instructor will go through word by word translation of the Arabic and will be sharing the interpretation/exegesis of the surah according to classical texts.
